LOCATED IN THE HEART OF MIDOSUJI, RESIDING AT THE CITY’S MOST COVETED ADDRESS
Written by Menswear Style in Travel on the 14th September 2016
This 27-story 5-star hotel has an enduring legacy of uncompromising luxury. It is the 20th property for the brand, and is located in the heart of beautiful Midosuji - residing at the city’s most coveted address with shopping, sights and Osaka’s famous culinary streets just a short walk away. From the exclusive amenities and sophisticated facilities, to exquisite culinary experiences, this is the most prestigious address in this vibrant, cosmopolitan Japanese city. The St. Regis Osaka also exhibits a unique charm by adopting interior designs that evoke the culture and history of Osaka and by providing a butler service with an emphasis on Japan’s unique hospitality.
The Room
There’s 160 guest rooms and suites and our room had an amazing view over the lively city. The motif of the suite rooms are different types of plants and flowers that offer a unique design concept specific to each suite. The 43 square meter Deluxe Rooms offer an eloquent expression of comfort, in a residential atmosphere that makes a unique refuge of timeless splendor. A single large window extends two floors, creating a spacious and open environment filled with light from ceiling to floor.
Guest rooms are appointed with state of the art amenities including a 42 inch High Definition flat screen LCD television, audio equipment, walk-in closet, and bathrooms with Japanese style bath tubs and a shower booth. The finest finishes and Kyoto silks accentuate the contemporary interior. The headboards are made of beautiful Kawashima silk, showing motifs of gingko and cherry blossom, symbols of Osaka and Japan creating an elegant sense of arrival. Japanese tradition, expressed in detail, and luxury amenities are brilliantly combined. Don’t forget to make use of the traditional Kimono pyjamas.
Restaurants
Unique dining experiences are the hallmarks of the hotel’s two exclusive restaurants. Rue d’Or features classically inspired French bistro cuisine with a contemporary twist while, at La Veduta, discerning diners can savour the innovative delights of a Northern Italian grill. The St. Regis Bar offers a luxurious, relaxed ambience for sophisticated cocktails and small plates. This bar on the 12th floor also overlooks a tranquil, verdant garden with spectacular city views.
