Written by Craig Landale in Essentials on the 28th June 2023
Welcome to another edition of the Menswear Style Coolest Stuff where we highlight the best products that June 2023 has brought us. This month has been filled with exciting collaborations and innovative releases across various industries. From fashion to footwear, liquor to luggage, let's dive into the fascinating world of these new launches and limited-edition collections.
Sebago X Drake's New Footwear Collaboration
This new collaboration between Drake’s and Sebago sees a series of classic Sebago styles reinterpreted using hand-picked materials and Drake’s finishes that honour the much-loved originals. Beginning with the Docksides, the boat shoe that helped to define 20th century university campus culture — worn by Steve McQueen, Paul Newman, Pharrell Williams and countless other individuals of style and influence — the Drake’s for Sebago Dockside will be available in both navy and white leather with paracord laces, and patchwork navy, red and white leather with leather laces. Other special details include contrast hand-stitching, white eyelets, a green and white side tab, inspired by the awning outside of Drake’s shops, and embossed co-branding on the shoe’s insole. The collection is now available online and in-store. The collaboration’s campaign was photographed inside Maison Premiere, a Brooklyn bar and seafood institution that is Drake’s favourite. A wonderful space that also serves as a nod towards Sebago’s coastal heritage.
Hennessy V.S X Nas
Hennessy, the world's leading cognac brand and one of the most name-dropped brands in Hip-Hop, collaborates with Grammy-Award winning rap legend Nas to release a limited-edition Hennessy V.S bottle in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the music style. A collection of unique designs pays tribute to the genre's past, present, and future and its undeniable cultural impact that permeates throughout the world. In addition, the commemoration highlights Hennessy's legitimate connection to the community - a rich blend of those who pioneered and shaped the art form as we know it and the nonconforming new guard who continues to up the game.
Jameson X Dickies Launch ‘Crafted Together’ Streetwear Collection
Jameson, the world’s most iconic Irish Whiskey, alongside iconic workwear brand, Dickies, announce the launch of ‘Crafted Together’ – a new, workwear inspired collaboration consisting of apparel, accessories, and a limited-edition Jameson bottle. With ‘Crafted Together,’ Jameson and Dickies join forces to connect their communities of modern-day creators across the globe. To celebrate the global launch of Crafted Together, pop-up stores will open in New York City and London for friends and fans of the brands to visit and be among the first to shop the collection.

July Launches in UK
July exists to bring better design and thinking around how we travel, elevating the standard from buying the product to a more considered experience of design and service. Simply put, July is here to ensure you can focus on the parts of travelling you love. The business began as an opportunity to fix a broken industry; why were the consumer’s only choices cheap bags, or expensive luxury items? Frequent travellers and founders Athan Didaskalou and Richard Li saw a category that was selling poorly designed products at extreme premiums - and wanted to fix it. After speaking with hundreds of regular travellers and reading thousands of online reviews to find out the key pain points and desires in luggage, they launched July with a single product, the Carry-On. The brand now boasts a suite of beautiful travel products, from hard-shell suitcases to overnight bags, backpacks, toiletry bags and packing cells. Regularly seen on the arms of personalities like Harry Styles, Chrissy Teigen and Apple Martin and as the official luggage supplier of the Olympics and Commonwealth Games the Australian brand is reaching new heights every day.
Reiss Launches Second Che Collaboration
Reiss has launched its second collaboration with Oliver Cheshire's brand Che, following the success of the first Reiss x Che collaboration last Summer. Inspired by the summertime feel of chateau stays, the collection consists of matching jersey sweat sets and swim shorts with coordinating shirts, to create the ultimate holiday wardrobe - from airport luxury to pool-side soirée. This season a more progressive palette and bolder prints come into play, including as the 'Como' print, a beautiful bespoke design commissioned and hand-drawn by a Reiss manufacturing partner in Lake Como, Italy. Both brands signature details, such as Reiss' cuban collar shirts and well-crafted knits and Ché’s hallmark stripe detailing, can be seen throughout the modern collection. The collection also features recycled materials, including 100% recycled Nylon regenerated from waste yarns and fabric, which has been used across the swim shorts.
Troubadour X Thomas Pink Collection
Troubadour and Thomas Pink have revealed a new bag collection. The two British brands prioritise quality materials and craftsmanship and found a natural synergy in this exciting new collaboration. Troubadour creates products that exude quality and innovation, without ever compromising on style. Sustainability is also a key value for the company, which is part of the B Corp movement and uses natural and recycled materials in its products and packaging. Ultimately, Troubadour bags and Thomas Pink shirts are designed for city-dwellers who love adventure and travel. In a first-of-its-kind collaboration, Thomas Pink’s name and visual language have been added to four signature Troubadour pieces: the Apex Backpack, the Caboodle Tech Case, the Embark Duffle and the Pathfinder Slim Briefcase. The special edition Embark Duffle and Apex Backpack models come with a matching black shirt pouch. This streamline accessory is designed to slip effortlessly inside the bag so that you can transport your Thomas Pink shirt with ease. The shirt bag, like the rest of the collection, is branded with the Troubadour x Thomas Pink logo as well as a Bengal stripe detail within the lining.
Aesop Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Intense Serum
Central to the anti-oxidant-rich Parsley Seed Skin Care range, Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Intense Serum is formulated to hydrate and fortify the skin while guarding it against airborne pollutants. Suited to normal, combination and sensitive skin, the lightweight daily hydrator is ideal for those living in urban environments, and warm or humid climates. Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Intense Serum is distinguished by the breathable film it forms on the skin thanks to extracts of Red Algae and Tara Gum. This imperceptible yet effective barrier helps to minimise deposition of airborne particulates, which can aggravate the skin. A suite of anti-oxidants is delivered by way of Grape Seed, Green Tea and Parsley Seed extracts, supported by nourishing Tocopherol (Vitamin E). Lightweight and rapidly absorbed, it leaves the skin hydrated, with a pleasingly matte finish, making it an astute choice for those seeking an alternative to cream or oil-based moisturisers.
