MAY 2022’S BEST MEN’S GROOMING DROPS
Written by Nick Hogan in Grooming on the 26th May 2022
Whilst April showers still linger on, the sun is shining and summer is definitely on its way! It’s time to dust off your summer wardrobe and get your grooming regime dialled in to enjoy the best of it! Have a great month, look good and smell well. Here’s my top picks in grooming for May.
Sans London
With a belief that your daily rituals needn’t be mundane, but a chance for serenity and self-care, Sans have created an incredible line of natural deodorants. Offering refills in three scents, 18th Orchard, Twig & Blossom and Pinacea, as well as a range of three colours in their capsules. My personal pick is Pinacea scent in the Sherwood capsule, a pastel green that sets off any grooming regime. You’ll smell as great as it looks.
Available from Sans London - £30 Starter Kit
Bulldog
Bulldog have expanded their already excellent line into hair styling, with three products that each have their own hero ingredient. Original Styling Salt Spray features sea salt and offers a light hold and textured finish. Original Styling Cream features shea butter, which moisturises whilst providing a natural finish and medium hold. Original Styling Pomade features argan oil which offers a firm hold and a natural shine. Bulldog continue to be easy to recommend to anyone, give the new range a try!
Available from Bulldog - £8
Buly Eau Gymnastique
Gents, let’s face it, your trainers stink! Despite the best of grooming regimes, nothing can prevent the inevitable unpleasant scent from your daily wearers or particularly your gym trainers. So what could be better than adding a perfume for sports shoes to your collection? The large 500ml bottle means you can keep your shoes smelling like new for a long time to come. The scent even diffuses as you wear them. You need this, and you needed it yesterday!
Available from Buly - €70 for 500ml
Bave Salt Soap Scrub
Bave are expanding on their line of bath soaks and salts with a new range of Salt Soap Scrubs. For me there’s something refined and relaxing about using a soap bar, add in the incredible ingredients and scents and you’ve got an experience on your hands. The best news is that it’s available in Tobacco & Vanilla, but be warned gents, keep it hidden from your better half. I had the terrible ordeal of discovering my Tobacco & Vanilla bath soak in the recycling bin, so be vigilant!
Available from Bave - £10
Bjork and Berries Hydrating Serum
We all know how important skin hydration is, but often, we just don’t do enough about it. First thing, drink more water, go and get a glass now! Secondly, check out this Hydrating Serum from Bjork and Berries. The combination of calming elderflower and hyaluronic acid lock in hydration and soften your skin. Use as part of your daily routine by applying before your regular moisturiser and enjoy your skin at it’s best!
Available from Bjork and Berries - £49
QMS Hydro Foam Recovery Mask
If you're looking to give your skin a well-deserved treat this month, then consider Hydro Foam Recovery Mask from QMS. This micro-foam mask applies lightly and soaks into skin within minutes, leaving your skin feeling soft, hydrated and restored. Ingredients include silk proteins, hyaluronic acid, jojoba oil and shea oleine. QMS specialise in scientific skincare, so rest assured your skin is in good hands, and will feel all the better for it.

Soma Parfums
Fragrance enthusiast and popular Instragrammer Dan Rothschild has released his own line of fragrances, Soma Parfums. The line consists of seven fragrances, with my personal favourites being Cirrus and Halcyon. Cirrus is a daytime summer scent consisting of notes such as blackcurrant, lavender and vanilla. Halcyon is a sweet honey tobacco scent, with notes of toffee, rum, tonka and vanilla in the mix. It’s evident that Dan has put heart and soul into the line, and it’s certainly worth getting your nose on a sample pack.
Available from Soma Parfums - from £116
