8 MUST-HAVE MENSWEAR THREADS FOR AUTUMNAL ADVENTURES
Written by Menswear Style in Get the Look on the 4th November 2021
With Autumn in full swing you’ve probably now dug out your favourite winter knitwear only to find that they’ve all been destroyed by pesky moths (but maybe that’s just my problem.) Autumn is a great season to get yourself outside, especially since the elements aren’t yet too harsh. Whether that’s heading to the countryside or walking along a city canal, be sure to equip yourself with some autumn fabrics and make use of layering techniques. To get you started the team here at MenswearStyle have picked out some of their favourite autumn-friendly men’s fashion threads.
Palladium Re-Craft Collection
As sustainability continues to be more important than ever, heritage footwear brand Palladium has introduced the RE-CRAFT collection; a selection of upcycled styles that celebrates the brand's commitment to increasing its eco-conscious credentials. A cult classic from the Palladium archives, remixed, revamped and retooled for urban adventure. The chunky sneakerboot silhouette brings a tall and bold look to the scene with a futuristic mix of fabrics and textures.
Theodore Herald Brown Alpaca Crew Neck Sweater
The Theodore Herald Royal Alpaca round neck sweater features iconic “Quipu” hand-stitch - an ancient Peruvian method of tying intricate knots. Knitted in fine 14 gauge, this style is intended to be worn all year round and can be worn independently or as part of a layered aesthetic. Finer than cashmere, Royal Alpaca represents just 2% of all alpaca and is obtained from specific parts of the fleece. It also tends to be obtained from the youngest and least sheared alpaca.
Finnieston Clothing Linthouse Jacket
Glasgow’s Finnieston Clothing's Linthouse jacket is made from a hardwearing organic cotton twill workwear fabric and is available in both green and navy. The Linthouse is the perfect companion for the colder seasons, partnering well with workwear chinos as well as denim for that cool, easy-going casual aesthetic, and can be utilised as a key layering garment.
Lee 101 Long Sherpa Jacket
Lee 101’s shawl collared jacket strikes a heritage workwear chord with premium detailing and fabrications. The canvas is the famed Tuff Duck, a durable and weighty cotton fabric made in the Kaihara mill in Japan, using a mix of recycled fabrics. The canvas comes in a searingly saturated tan shade that is born to complement premium denim. The colour is carried through on the sherpa lining. Buttons and tipping add a rich brown leather, with reinforcements on the pocket jets and across the yoke and cuff adjusters.
ASKET Heavy Twill Chinos
Building on the original Chino, which launched in 2017, the Heavy Twill Chino by ASKET is the more robust brother but with a simpler construction. Having realised that the original chino was so popular that people wore it everywhere, the team introduced a workwear version with a more casual look and excellent durability. The Heavy Twill Chino fabric is inspired by the Peruvian army uniform - also called Superlibertadores - and developed by an Italian fabric mill specialised in woven fabrics.
6876 X Admiral Sporting Goods Co. Fairham Jacket
Two British sporting icons come together for the first time. They both have an uncompromising approach to production and craftsmanship, using only the highest-quality materials and manufacturing processes. The Fairham jacket is a modernist “Carcoat” style short Raincoat with zip-off hood, combining two iconic sporting pieces of outerwear to create an all-weather, everyday jacket. It's made from classic gaberdine Raincoat cloth produced by Olmetex Italy, lined with fully breathable microfibre material, and finished with storm cuffs.
Hackett Bespoke Eyewear
Designed for a world playing by new rules, the Hackett Bespoke Autumn/Winter 2021 optical collection is inspired by contemporary times whilst staying true to Hackett’s timeless DNA of quintessential British style. The latest optical range features an array of Hackett signature design elements, premium materials, and the excellent craftsmanship expected of this great British brand.

Solovair X Oliver Spencer Monkey Boots
Oliver Spencer has teamed up with the Northamptonshire-based shoemaker Solovair to create a new and exclusive monkey boot that pays tribute to the classic style of the 1960s, crafted in a beautifully soft leather and featuring Solovair's iconic Goodyear-welted sole. It comes in a jet-black style with contrast stitching and heel tab, as well as a rich dark tan option. The monkey boot's heyday was in the early 60s, but it originates from Czechoslovakia around the time of World War II.
