There are many different car accident classifications, be it by the number of vehicles, the cause, or other aspects. For this article we’ve decided that the most logical way to divide car accidents is by how the vehicles have collided. Vehicle Rollover 

One of the most common, and most deadly types of car accidents that you should know about are vehicle rollover car accidents. These accidents in particular are very complex and violent, which is why they stand out among the rest. More than any type of car accident, rollover accidents reflect the interaction of the road, vehicle, the driver as well as environmental factors. Even though the vehicle type has a significant role in the accident, so do the other aforementioned factors. Additional factors that might contribute are speed, location, and alcohol consumption. According to many studies, SUVs and vans are more likely to “flip” because their gravity centre is much higher than in regular cars. Not only this, but they are also more likely to keep rolling and landing on the roof, which can cause some pretty catastrophic injuries to the passengers. Rear-End Collision 

Another type of car accident that you need to know about, especially if you’re a new driver, is the rear-end collision. Rear-end collisions, as the name suggests, involve the impact of one’s car front side into another’s car backside (obviously). This type of car accident can vary significantly in terms of severity, potential injury of the passengers, as well as vehicle damage. The reason behind this is that it’s often incredibly difficult to establish who is at fault unless there are some obvious situations such as driving under the influence or driving in the wrong lane where the person responsible is easily found liable for injuries, damages, or even wrongful death.

T-Bone Car Accident 

While the term “T-Bone” is usually associated with more pleasant, fine dining dishes, it’s also used to describe a type of car accident you should know about. T-Bone accidents, or otherwise known as side collisions, are one of the most serious collisions a driver can experience. These accidents happen when one vehicle crashes head-on into the side of another vehicle. This is why the letter T is used to describe the effect that occurs on the driver’s side of the impacted vehicle. T-bone accidents can cause brain concussions, internal bleeding, broken bones, and even fatality. Because these accidents are usually unavoidable and sudden, the best outcome is when the seatbelt is locked in place, and if you have specialized side airbags as some Tesla models do. As for the common causes of side collisions, they typically occur when someone makes a dangerous turn at an intersection or when someone runs a red light. 

These were some of the most dangerous and common types of car accidents that every driver should know. In addition to this, you should make sure your airbags are working perfectly, and that your seatbelt is always locked in when you drive.
