Lockdown restrictions are slowly easing, and the long-awaited indoor meal awaits. Whilst April showers seem to have arrived late, it’s not too late to get your grooming regime ready for the world opening back up. Here are some of the best grooming drops this month.

Finally, gyms are back open! After working on my lockdown bod for so long, I’m going to need all the help I can to get back into shape. I’m a broken record when it comes to lip balms, it’s an essential item that often gets overlooked, but never leaves my pocket. Mutiny is a squalane based lip balm, a lipid that’s almost identical to squalene, which makes up 12% of our sebum. What results is a lip balm that replenishes the skins natural barrier rather than petroleum lip balms which sit on the surface. My lips have suffered through mask wearing, Mutiny has been a game changer for me.

The Bluebeards Revenge Shampoo Bar 

We all need to be more eco-conscious, so many of the products we use daily create waste. The Bluebeard Revenge have developed a range of shampoo bars that create zero waste and are vegan friendly. Mojo Skincare Range 

Not to rest on their laurels, Mojo have followed up on the successful launch of their styling products with a skincare range consisting of an Anti-Ageing Moisturiser and Exfoliating Face Scrub, both featuring Mojo’s signature fragrance. The Moisturiser is non-oily and applies effortlessly, leaving my skin feeling smooth and nourished. The Face Scrub feels smooth between the fingers yet works wonders in cleansing and revitalising my skin. Both make excellent additions to your daily routine.

Ole Henriksen Wrinkle Blur Bakuchiol Eye Gel Crème 

If there were prizes for how a product looks, then we’ve got a gold medal winner here. The purple ribbons of bauchiol are mesmerising, and this clever product only mixes active ingredients once you pump it out for use. Bakuchiol is a plant-based ingredient that’s used as a retinol alternative, combined with orchid stem cells, plant proteins and peptides, you have a fantastic Eye Gel that feels great on skin and does a wonderful job of reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Add a splash of purple to your daily routine.

D.S. & DURGA - St. Vetyver 

St. Vetyver is the latest release from Brooklyn based D.S. & DURGA, the husband-and-wife team that produce incredible fragrances. St. Vetyver is an armchair travel experience to the Caribbean, with top notes of sour orange, pink pepper, and sea grass. Mid notes of cane, clove leaf and toquilla straw then base notes of vetiver, bread nut and rhum agricole. This fragrance is a warm Caribbean evening in a bottle, warm ocean breeze, vetyver and rum. Until we can make it there in person, this is the trip we all need!

Dr Mazin Al-Kafaji is a Doctor of Chinese Medicine and has made a career of treating patients with serious skin conditions. His treatments are now accessible to all with Dermatology M.
