Winter is just around the corner and the harsh elements will soon play havoc with our grooming regimens. It’s time to switch up your products and battle the weather in style. Here’s our pick of the latest and greatest grooming drops in October. So, following on from my September 2019 grooming drops, here are some of the best new releases in men's fragrance, skincare, and hair care that we recommend you reach for during August 2019.

Heist  Hair Dryer & Styling Kit

Heist were established in London, named as a play on words between height and style. They recognised that there was an obvious gap in the market and would go on to create the world’s first hairdryer designed for men! Perhaps Heist are trying to light up the same parts of my brain which are irrationally attracted to power tools and gadgets. If so, it worked. Baxter of California Pacific Cannabis 

Skincare and grooming favourite Baxter of California are diversifying by releasing Pacific Cannabis, a scent inspired by heady days spent on the boardwalk, as the scent of cannabis drifts on the ocean breeze. With top notes of pink pepper, rosemary and bergamot. Mid notes of cannabis, lavender and sage. Then base notes of patchouli, tonka bean and driftwood. If you fancy a trip to California from your own home, Pacific Cannabis may be the escape you need from the wind and rain. Venice Beach here you come!

Harry's Shower & Hair Range 

Harry's have rapidly and successfully altered the landscape of the shaving market, and they aren't resting on their laurels. They’ve now introduced a range of Shower and Hair products that aim to revamp your daily routine. A 2 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner, containing 0% sulphates, parabens or dyes, yet still produces a fantastic lather and leaves your hair feeling fantastic. A Taming Cream for a light hold that leaves your hair looking natural, and can be used on thick, curly or coarse hair as a mild conditioner. A texturising putty that leaves a matte finish and reworkable hold. Sculpting Gel that offers a firm hold and shine finish. Acqua di Parma Colonia Artist Edition 2019 

Colonia from Acqua di Parma is a fragrance that was originally released back in 1916 and has stood the test of time, adored by wearers the world over. Whilst flankers to Colonia have been released over the years, the original still holds its place in the Acqua di Parma lineup. Following the success of last year’s artistic collaboration with British artist Clym Evernden, Acqua di Parma have now partnered with celebrated Italian artist Gio Pastori for a new artistic interpretation of its iconic fragrance for Christmas 2019. Gio is inspired by graphics from the 1930s/40s advertisements and childhood games, he uses his paper-cut technique to create a fun and decorative motive which wraps the art deco bottle. Colonia remains the fragrance we all know and love, a beautiful combination of Sicilian citruses, lavender and rosemary. Combined with the all-new bottle design by Gio, your dressing table will look as good as you smell.

Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme Wood & Wood 

Issey Miyake have introduced the latest flanker to their ever-popular L’Eau d’Issey line. Named Wood & Wood, there’s no prize for what style of scent lies within. This woody citrus scent features top notes of grapefruit, mid notes of cedar and sandalwood, then finally a base note of patchouli. Whilst not a listed note, apricot is the star of the show to my nose. Sweet, juicy and in daring contrast to the wood notes. Wood & Wood has the depth and character to take you through the cooler months, but the fresh DNA of the original scent makes it wearable all year round.

Montblanc Explorer 

Montblanc are world-renowned purveyors of luxurious pens, watches and travel accessories, but they also have excellent taste in fragrance. Their latest release is Explorer, presented in a handsome bottle with the Montblanc emblem adorned on the cap. With top notes of bergamot, pomarose and sage. Mid notes of vetiver, leather and sandalwood. Then finally base notes of patchouli, ambrofix and akigalawood. Explorer is a woody-aromatic scent that strikes the perfect balance between fresh and invigorating with depth and warmth. You may just have found your new perfect office scent!

Jimmy Choo Urban Hero  

Described as a woody aromatic fragrance for men who are rebellious and spontaneous by nature, Jimmy Choo have introduced Urban Hero, a woody leather scent with one of the more unique note additions you may encounter. The intriguing note addition of lemon caviar prominent in the opening and is joined at the top by black pepper, whilst rosewood and vetiver sit in the mid notes. Finally, grey amber and leather accord make up the base. Urban Hero has a class and elegance about it, from the chrome flask style bottle to the luxurious scent combination of leather and caviar. An excellent choice for an autumnal day.
