BE INSPIRED WITH THESE ATHLETIC INSTAGRAMMERS
Written by Menswear Style in Health & Fitness on the 28th February 2019
Social media has grown tremendously over the last few years, and we’re not afraid to say it’s our guilty pleasure. With around 2.62 billion users around the world, each platform allows people and brands to develop their own online personas and help them to attract a large following by posting meaningful content. With people gathering high followings on these platforms, brands are tapping into something called ‘influencer marketing’ and using them to sell products or services. From this, influencer marketing was born. Instagram is one of the main platforms for this kind of marketing too. In this article, we take a look at some athletic influencers that you should be following.
Joe Wicks (TheBodyCoach)
If you need to change your lifestyle, physically and mentally, learning from Joe Wicks is the perfect solution. With eight healthy eating cookbooks under his sleeve, Joe usually posts body transformation pics of his clients and of course healthy food! One of Joe Wicks’ most recognisable brand collaboration is with Gousto, where he provides some of his top recipes. Aside from this, with his own rightful success, he’s been able to launch his own supplement range that has had rave reviews.
Chris Magee (Mageesy)
Chris Magee is one influencer that has acquired a lot of followers in a short time. With just 31,000 followers, the Irish fitness guru was formerly a personal trainer and now is an international yoga teacher – allowing his audience to practice with him online and ensure that they’re in the best mindset possible. Forget brand collaborations, this guy is all about charitable partnerships. On International Yoga Day, he assisted the Yoga For Refugees event and shared his expertise with those in need.
Clem (Coach_Clem)
With just over 7,000 followers, Clem is definitely leaving a good impression on the athletic community. A lot of his posts are with his friends, which makes anyone looking for inspiration feel part of his club. He’s worked with one brand to offer a month-long program to improve your lifestyle. This means that you only pay for what you need and gain access to consultation, so you know you’re working in the right direction.
Kenneth Gallarzo (Progressive_Calisthenics)
If you’re not following Kenneth Gallarzo already, now is your chance. The majority of his uploads are videos, so you genuinely do feel a sense of unity and involvement when you’re browsing his page. You’ll even become familiar with a lot of the people he trains with! If you take inspiration from visually pleasing content, this guy shares videos from Dubai, so you’ll become very motivated but equally jealous.
Alex Bowen (AB_Bowen)
Alex Bowen rose to fame on the second season of Love Island. Since the show ended, Alex has been able to rack up a following of 1.4 million followers on Instagram alone and posts a lot of fitness related content. From sharing his favourite men’s shirts to posting general lifestyle pictures, he is a lover of Instagram. So much so that he does have a second account that is entirely dedicated to workout videos and gym pictures – which has gained a respectable following of almost 50,000 people.
