TOP TIPS TO HELP YOU GET RIPPED FAST
THERE 'S NO REASON WHY YOU CAN’T GET THE BODY YOU'VE ALWAYS WANTED
Written by Menswear Style in Health & Fitness on the 29th November 2018
Getting ripped doesn’t happen overnight. It does take a lot of hard work and dedication but if you are willing to put the work in then there is no reason at all why you can’t get the body you have always wanted.
Never Fail to Prepare
It's so important that you map out your sessions and that you also do everything you can to prepare for the week ahead. This is quite possibly the most important step to your success. You don’t need to plan on cooking 10 steaks a week and you don’t need to spend a small fortune on lean meat either. All you need to do is try and sign up to a fitness class, and also to try and look after yourself. If you know that you are not a morning person, then prepare an overnight carb breakfast so that you can have it as soon as you wake up. When you do this, you can then feel confident knowing that you are always ready for the day ahead.
Don’t Ever Skip Breakfast
It doesn’t matter whether you have an overnight breakfast or whether you opt to have smoked salmon and egg because you have to do everything you can to try and have breakfast in the morning. The main reason for this is because it helps to kickstart your metabolism and it also helps you to get a head start on your day. You might also want to add a black coffee to your meal as well. When you do this, you will burn calories 11% faster and it will also help you to get the energy you need in the morning.
Set Alarms
Studies have shown time and time again that alarms and sound cues can really help you to remember things. Set an alarm at a certain time to remind you of your protein shake, or even that you need to go and do your workout. Little things like this can trigger you to do it right there and then, rather than procrastinating. On top of this, it is a great way for you to try and keep yourself in a good schedule.
Never Have a Rest Day
Rest days are quite popular with those who go to the gym all the time. Some would even say that they are a crucial part of their regime. You need to try and avoid having rest days to some extent however. The main thing that you have to remember here is that by avoiding rest days, you are not subjecting your body to strenuous exercise every single day. You are however keeping yourself moving around daily so that you can maintain the good habits you have established. For example, you might not be going to do your normal routine on a Sunday, but that doesn’t mean that you should sit in front of the TV all day. Instead, go out on a walk, get some shopping done or try and keep yourself moving by doing household chores. Little things like this can work wonders for your metabolism.
Protein
You have probably heard that protein is quite possibly the best way for you to build muscle. Protein has an effect that is highly thermic. This means that you burn more calories when you digest foods that are high in protein when compared to others, so this can really help you to lose weight. Protein is also very filling as well, so if you are trying to cut back on the amount of food you eat in a day then this is a fantastic way for you to get that done. If you are struggling to get enough protein, then consider visiting a supplement store.
Reset Goals
When you see people workout in the gym, they are doing so with a goal. They don’t want to pump iron for the sake of it. They are training with a purpose and you should be as well. You may want to set goals such as losing a set amount of weight and you should also be trying to further your fitness goals as well. If you do the same workout every single day then your body will eventually get used to it and you will stop achieving results. For this reason, you need to try and focus on continually changing and tweaking your workout so that your body is always challenged.
Teamwork
If you have a workout buddy then this is fantastic. You do need to surround yourself with friends and even family who are able to support your healthy habits. You also need to try and share ideas, such as recipes, workouts and more. If you have a neighbourhood sports team then consider signing up with them, and also try and push yourself that extra mile.
Go Hard
Dumbbell exercises can really get you pumped for the time-being, but it is actually things like deadlifts and squats that help you to get measurable, long-term results. It’s been proven time and time again that lifting weights that are heavier recruits far more muscle fibres. This means that you will pack on size and mass, while also burning more calories.
Water
By increasing your water intake, you can trick your body into thinking that it is full and you can also encourage yourself to eat less as well. On top of this, it can also boost your metabolism. It doesn’t take much effort to incorporate more water into your diet and there are plenty of workout-friendly water bottles out there for you to choose from. If you want to make sure that you are getting enough water then weigh yourself before and after a session. When you do this, you can then figure out how much water you have lost. Whatever the number is, you need to double it. This is the amount of water you need to drink in order to rehydrate yourself. The number may surprise you, but getting enough water is so crucial that it’s worth having a few pints of it after your workout.
