For 130 years, Bucherer, the heritage watch and jewellery house based in Lucerne, has offered its customers a large selection of outstanding timepieces from first-class watchmakers. This week Bucherer introduced another arrow to its illustrious quiver by unveiling the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Bucherer Blue Editions into its cult motorsport collection. As of this week, hardcore TAG Heuer fans will be able to purchase the special edition striking blue timepiece exclusively through the Bucherer online shop.

The latest model from the Bucherer Blue Editions collection is aimed at the fashion-conscious gentleman with a penchant for tradition and an affinity for innovation within the motorsport industry. This venture continues the running fascination thread with Bucherer and motorsport after their one-off motorcycle collaboration with Harley-Davidson specialist Bündnerbike. The sublime yet decadent prototype housed a custom-made Carl F. Bucherer watch in a cage made from silicon rings on the side of the fuel tank. It was reputed as the most expensive motorbike ever made at £1.4 million.

Now the brands have entwined their shared appreciation of elegance and performance and conceived the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Bucherer Blue Editions. The collection is distinguished thanks to its sporty yet elegant blue dial with hand-applied indexes and a rotating aluminium bezel with a 60-minute scale. Following the identifying characteristics of the Bucherer brand, the through-line for the collection is the colour blue. The Bucherer Blue Editions watch collection comprises 18 exclusive timepieces that Bucherer created in cooperation with 12 renowned watch manufacturers.

Featuring a diameter of 43mm as well as a robust and resistant stainless-steel case, the automatic watch with a power reserve of 38 hours will be an indelible addition to your watch draw this season. In addition to the stainless-steel bracelet, this special edition features a blue rubber strap, giving it a robust and effortless finish. The reverse depicts the traditional TAG Heuer chequered flag motif, underneath the inscription 'Exclusively for Bucherer 1888'. “It was a great opportunity for TAG Heuer to work with Bucherer on this special edition. This watch is another step in the longstanding collaboration for the development of our business around the world” says CEO of TAG Heuer, Jean-Claude Biver.
