Ask the barber for a textured top with a side parting to avoid clumps of hair. Upkeep is essential with the soft parting, so make sure you brush out the top with a little clay to maintain this gentleman’s look. Simple and smart, this hairstyle is sure to get compliments at your winter parties.

Messy Textured Hair 

Messy and textured hairstyles are a simple and easy way to look effortless. Unfortunately, messy in this instance does not mean just ‘roll out of bed’, but it is rather close. Texture and movement are vital, so ask your hairdresser to chop into your hair making it look ‘messed up’. This hairstyle is great if you are growing your hair, perfect for that in between stage of short hair and the man bun. Styled correctly, the messy textured look can add dimension to your hair - caution, however, styled badly and you could be at risk of being transported back to your emo youth! The Lusty Long Locks 

Long hair has seen a huge comeback over the past few seasons, layered mid-length cuts are prime for running your hands through your hair as if you are in a rom-com whilst resist the temptation for a man bun. Seen on the runway by designers such as Maison Martin Margiela, long hair can be styled like a free flowing 70s surfer or sleeker and more refined as seen on David Beckham over the past year. Beware, to nail the ‘heart-throb Bob’ long look, regular upkeep is essential. It is important to show you're regularly maintain your luscious locks; it’s an idea to invest in a hair mask every 2-3 weeks to keep that low maintenance, relaxed and rugged look.
