This traditional looking hotel in the middle of Marylebone has a rather quirky side. It has interiors that will put a smile on your face. Its also a hotel which caters for us stylish gents too; with their signature gentleman’s afternoon tea, room toiletries by Bigelow Apothecaries and a shopping concierge service. This gem of a hotel has been transformed from one with 166-rooms to a deluxe 142-bedroom hotel. Previously townhouses for London’s aristocracy in the 1800s, and later home to legendary musician Sir Paolo Tosti, The Mandeville Hotel has since become one of London’s favourite listed buildings.

The Room 

Our room was solid with everything we needed and was furnished with luxurious fabrics and wall coverings from leading design houses including Canovas, Zubor, Catherine Huntley and Brunswick. Each room is equipped with new 40” flat screen interactive LCD televisions with broadband and WiFi access, safes, two telephone extensions with voicemail, 24-hour room service and climate control. En-suite bathrooms are designed with marble, equipped with all modern facilities including power shower, shaving mirrors, hands-free radio and bath accessories from C.O. Bigelow Apothecaries.

For those of you with a bigger budget (£600 per night), look no further than The Terrace Suite which will give you complete privacy and breathtaking views over the local neighbourhood. With its own separate entrance, this suite has been sublimely decorated to the highest standards. Set over two floors, the large bedroom opens to a wooden terrace and the loft has been cleverly utilised to create a spectacular bathroom.

Reform Social & Grill 

The hotel’s restaurant is a very British all-day dining venue that will keep you sustained around the clock. It takes inspiration from classic British gentlemens' clubs in its decor with copper walls and plush leather banquets as well as its menus. The Gentleman’s Afternoon Tea for example is a very popular option, a masculine twist on the classic Afternoon Tea served with a Lagavulin whiskey cocktail. The bar area hosts regular live vinyl nights, social evenings and cocktail masterclasses also.
