CMMNTY CHAMPIONS ARTISTS TO HELP FIGHT HOMELESSNESS
STREETWEAR FASHION LABEL AND CHARITY EMMAUS TEAM UP FOR A GOOD CAUSE

CMMNTY, which is pronounced Community, is an ethical art-wear brand which is putting art at the heart of a streetwear fashion label. Every art print is produced using vegan-friendly bamboo paper, while T-shirts feature organic, long fibre, triple washed Portwood Cotton.
CMMNTY believes in treating everyone equally, with artists rewarded fairly for each piece sold and at least five percent of all profits go directly to the inspiring homeless charity Emmaus, which supports people who have experienced homelessness by providing them with a home and meaningful work in a community setting.
CMMNTY has strengthened its mission statement to champion world class artists whilst fighting homelessness by collaborating with Emmaus. Not only is CMMNTY jointly-owned with the artists - meaning that contributors claim a fair share of proceeds each time one of their products is sold - but five per cent of profits on each CMMNTY sale will be donated to help bring an end to homelessness. “All good stuff, but what will stand out for many fashion collectors is the quality of the shirts and the work of the artists who create the designs" - The Guardian.
This charity, who supports people who have experienced homelessness by providing them with a home and meaningful work in a community setting, will be able to use these much welcomed contributions to help achieve their goals and targets at a time when funding continues to be scarce. David Newman, CMMNTY’s founder, said: “Unlike many brands, artists don’t just license their designs to us; they are part of us. Jointly-owned with artists, our aim is to use products to promote art rather than art to promote products. It’s a model that means a fairer deal for artists, whilst also ensuring we do our bit to address the important issue of homelessness.”
