We were challenged recently by our friends over at Next Menswear to bring our readers some style inspiration for spring/summer 2016 by styling two different looks for the season ahead with their new collection. The chill is still in the air but beautiful sunny days are just around the corner – however we have to get past the dreaded April showers first, and we have you covered. Here’s our take on two versatile outfits which will take you from work place to the weekend pub at great value.

Formal Outfit 

Opting for a slightly casual twist on the usual work uniform we decided to mix this grey versatile Shirt Jacket with a classic grey Italian Linen Slim Fit Suit Jacket. The shirt features concealed side pockets and the jacket comes with an eye-catching pocket square design. Keep you trousers slim and simple this season with this Wool Blend Light Grey option which teams well with the tan suede Derby shoes from the England manufacturing favourite Loake Shoemakers. Just be careful not to wear them if rain is forecast and take good care of the suede material. The Stone Coloured Mac was tested properly for this photoshoot because we couldn’t catch a break from the rain. In the picture you can see how the water sits on top of the water-resistant finish material rather than soaking through it. Finally, for those guys who head straight to the gym after work, the Black Pebble Holdall is the perfect size and looks the business.

Casual Outfit 

Being able to dress down and relax is what weekends are all about. We decided to style up this washed Black Denim Jacket with a simple Ecru Fine Stripe T-Shirt which features turned back sleeves and has a super soft light feel. We then picked out the summer staple that every guy should have in his wardrobe, Light Chino Trousers and this offering from Next Menswear comes with a belt in the perfect shade of brown to complement the Ecru shade trousers. The footwear is then stripped back and made simple with these Longline Sport Pumps which are understated but very versatile, not to mention extremely comfortable.
