It’s that time of the year when parties are all around us and we’re busy trying to figure out what to wear, often forgetting another important factor... fragrance. Your scent is just as important as looking good, it’s proven that scent has a longer lasting impact than visual memory. So if you want to be making a good long lasting impression read over our top fragrances for winter 2015. 

Tom Ford Oud Wood 

Tom Ford’s Oud Wood is a scent that only requires a little and will linger for hours. It’s a rare and exotic fragrance, slightly musky - but this makes it quite distinctive. With ingredients such as rose wood, cardamom and a rare oud wood this scent is very masculine. It’s also known to be very complimentary and long lasting so you can be sure you’ll be getting your money’s worth.

Calvin Klein Eternity Night 

This is a great party scent, so if you want something to spice up your Christmas or New Year's party then we recommend Eternity Night. Calvin Klein has a long array of different stand out scents and this one is a true classic. It’s mysterious, smokey and a little powdery. It gets a spicy note from paprika along with coriander and plum. To soften it, it has lavender, sandalwood and cedar to give it a velvet finish.

Armani Prive 

As a personal observation of Armani scents; they are always fresh which on a man creates a clean and well-groomed scent. This one by Armani is citrusy and contains fragrances from olive tree, spices and wood undertones. It has a satin finish for a deep and illuminated base; for longevity and lasting scent. Overall this is a sensual fragrance perfect for those social festive winter evenings.

Issey Miyake Nuit D'issey 

This is a thicker scent - perfect if you prefer something heavier to last all day. It has a leathery undertone which is long lasting. It is the perfect combination between spice and wood which makes it masculine and sensual. Often described as sharp, crisp and mysterious - with a zest of citruses of bergamot and grapefruit. The heart of this fragrance is leather with spices and black pepper. The base is made from rich dark woods, incense and tonka bean.

Acqua Di Parma Colonia 

The great thing about the Acqua Di Parma fragrances is they are versatile and always very wearable - so this is something you can certainly wear daily. Containing Sicilian citrus fruits, and sandalwood this is a fresh, herby and floral fragrance. It's quite light and not too over bearing, taking you from the office to the weekend.

Valentino Uomo 

This is a more oriental fragrance - if you want something exotic and unusual it’s a good place to start. With scents from bergamot, cedar wood, hazelnut and leather, it’s a rare weekend scent. For added depth they have added chocolate and roasted coffee beans - so from this description alone I’m sure you can imagine how sensual this may be.

Beckham Beyond 

Opening on a refreshing mojito accord, the fragrance immediately delights the senses. An invigorating hit of spicy cardamom and zesty grapefruit adds dynamic sophistication. In the heart, a vibrant burst of black pepper, combined with the assertive masculinity of cedar wood and geranium. This melts into an intense and textured trail; magnetic patchouli is blended with warm tones of vanilla and leather to confer a strong, charismatic signature.

Dior Sauvage 

This is a fresh scent suited for those men looking for a fruity, light and citrusy fragrance - bearing in mind it is still masculine and slightly peppery. With exotic fragrances of bergamot from Calabria, Italy it’s raw and noble with a little wood effect for a thicker finish. Since it is inspired by scents from the south of Italy it makes for a good choice for daywear or to add a light fresh scent for those casual winter evenings.

Viktor & Rolf SpiceBomb 

I know they always say not to judge a book by its cover, but we are drawn more to fragrances in cool bottles. If SpiceBomb’s bottle doesn’t entice you enough then the scent will do the trick. This fragrance by Viktor & Rolf is masculine for Autumn/Winter 2015 as it has a comforting aura. With scents of tobacco for a real smoky effect, cinnamon for a little spice and leather for a masculine finish - this fragrance is soft and spicy with added chilli and saffron for a great evening scent for lasting effects.

Dolce & Gabbana Velvet Desert Oud 

We’ve touched base with the more European leathery scents. This fragrance from Dolce & Gabbana is smoky with a middle eastern vibe; and if there is anything we can take from the middle east it is that they exert a lot of wealth. The name in itself ‘Velvet Desert’ creates an exotic Arabian feel with a soft luxurious undertone. It contains balsamic, amber and musk for the oud effect. Overall this is a deep, woody, masculine and seductive winter fragrance.
