It’s all well and good having a bang on trend wardrobe throughout the entire year but when it boils down to it, there are certain menswear items that no man should ever be without, no matter what the current trends are or your personal style limitations.

Navy Suit 

Whether it’s to work or a wedding, at any time of the year a navy suit will always fit right in place, understated and classic it will always be in style. 

You're best off going for a classic slim fitting 2 button suit in cotton (can be worn year round). A navy suit can also easily be worn as separates and dressed down by combining the jacket with a pair of jeans or the trousers with a cardigan.

White Button down Shirt 

I’m pretty sure every man has one, but if you don’t, go out and buy one! A white shirt goes with everything and it always looks good. 

It’s also the perfect place to build an outfit from since it's just like a blank canvas. 

Black Jeans 

Just like the white button down shirt, it goes with everything and because of its simplicity you can risk pairing it with slightly more outrageous or colourful choices.

White Trainers 

From standing out and pairing them with that navy suit or going classic and simple by teaming with jeans, these are one of the most versatile things you can own that can be worn all year round. 

Plain White T-Shirt 

Yes we all knew it was going to be in here somewhere, now this is probably THE most versatile thing a man can own. It goes with literally anything and always looks great. Dressed up or down there will always be a place for this in the foreseeable future of men’s fashion.

A Unique or Standout item 

Now this may not be considered versatile and in most cases it probably isn’t, but you don’t want to have the same wardrobe as everyone else and every man needs one piece they can call their's and be passionate and different with. 

Anything from a bright metallic bomber jacket to a pair of forest green loafers (both of which could be styled with items above). 

Brown Brogues 

These will pair perfectly with your navy suit and go with pretty much everything from jeans and a t-shirt to that grey tweed windowpane double breasted suit you have, or wish you had in your wardrobe.
